Fear rears its ugly head in numerous ways in my life. Fear, in fact, can be prevalent in most people’s lives without them even being aware of it! Let’s see if you can recognize any of these manifestations of fear in your life:
Insecurity
Pride
Stress
Panic attacks or anxiety
Timidity
Guilt
Extreme carefulness (like an OCD)
Worry
Superstition
These are all SYMPTOMS of fear! [...]
I don’t know about you, but I’m NOT a fan of New Year’s resolutions. Why not? Because I BREAK them! That’s why if I start a diet or a gym membership, I do NOT start it in January because it will be bound to fail! (That’s right… my latest gym membership began early December, so [...]
Jason and I began reading “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman the other night, and already I’m fully convinced that this is BY FAR the best marriage-improvement book ever.
Okay, I’ll back up that bold statement….
Back in 2005, I went on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic with my church. I don’t speak Spanish, [...]

I just bought a book that I am SUPER excited to read…. it’s called “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman. Understanding how you (and your husband) give and receive love is sooo super important in having a healthy & thriving marriage!

That’s right, he’s amazing. This week he went ABOVE AND BEYOND, making me feel even more loved and cherished than before.
Here are just a few highlights of [...]

~ Rita Rudner, US comedian
It was quite funny… I wrote this article Sunday evening, and sure enough, Sunday night Jason and I were about to go to sleep when he said, “Gosh, [...]

“Men and women belong to different species and communications between them is still in its infancy.” ~ Bill Cosby
Ahh, communication…. have you noticed how hard it can be? Most fights (at least in my marriage) start due to a lack of communication. Or, to be more accurate, a lack of UNDERSTANDABLE communication.
What do I mean [...]
I had an epiphany today as I cooked dinner. I was thinking about my life, my blog, my husband (who was in the bathroom, cutting his hair & kept calling me to check it out), my purpose…. and as I was trying to figure out how to work out this blogging thing (because it takes [...]
