As a wife, a mom, or a woman… what kinds of FEAR do you face?
As a wife, I face the fear of failure - that my husband won’t think I’m good enough, that I’ll fail at being the best wife out there.
I face the fear of rejection - that if I do something “wrong”, my [...]

Wow, has it REALLY been over a month since my last blog post?! My goodness! What a month this has been!  And what a major case of writer’s block I have had!!
However, I HAVE been reading… a lot.  I’m currently in the midst of reading 4 books - at the same time! One is in [...]

February was the “Month of Love,” right? There’s Valentine’s Day, and of course…. my engagement day was in February as well! My pastor did a series this month on marriage… we had a “Fireproof” outreach the other evening….  Stores go nuts for Valentine’s day related love … Hallmark cards are splashed in red as they [...]

My husband rocks because… yesterday I came home with a headache, & my hubby was AMAZING!!

While I napped, he went right to work (without being asked) doing the laundry (including folding & putting away the clothes!)
He offered to make dinner (but I already had it covered).
He cleaned up after dinner by clearing the table, doing [...]

Fear rears its ugly head in numerous ways in my life. Fear, in fact, can be prevalent in most people’s lives without them even being aware of it!  Let’s see if you can recognize any of these manifestations of fear in your life:

Insecurity
Pride

Timidity
Guilt
Extreme carefulness (like an OCD)
Worry

That’s right, Christmas is 2 weeks away… WOW.
Hard to imagine it, especially when it hit 60 degrees yesterday! Last year, Jason & I were in DisneyWorld at this time of year, so when I was getting a sunburn in 85 degree weather, hearing “Merry Christmas” seemed soooo strange.

And now, this time of year [...]

Believe it or not, self-care is an incredibly important part of your marriage.  Sound selfish? It really isn’t! Taking care of yourself & your needs will actually make you a BETTER wife!!
Let me illustrate this point…
Last week was a loooong week for me… A full week back to school after Thanksgiving, so the kids were [...]

Thanksgiving came and went, but I have been reminded over and over again that I have SO MUCH to be thankful for!!  In the midst of preparing & eating a FEAST at my sister’s house on Thanksgiving day, hanging out and playing dress-up with my nieces on Friday, driving to & from my parents’/sister’s house, [...]

I have had a rough week.  To be quite translucent with you (because I’m too emotionally raw right now to be completely transparent), it’s been one of the worst of my life.  I cried just about every day last week (today may have been the first no-tears day, so far).
Throughout it all, Jason was amazing… [...]
